Arun Pandala

Yoga Acharya (master of yoga) Arun Pandala has been a teacher of the Sivananda Yoga system for more than 24 years.

One of the senior-most Sivananda trained teachers in north India.

Has been practicing the Sivananda yoga system for over 27 years.

Started yoga at the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Nataraja Centre in Delhi in October 1992.

Took his Yoga Teacher’s Training course from the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta ashram in Kerala, in January 1995.

Took the Advanced Yoga Teacher’s Training Course in February 1996.

Set up the Sivananda Yoga Centre, Gurgaon in 2004.

Now full time occupation of teaching and practicing yoga.

Articulate in and passionate about teaching yoga.

Worked in the corporate world for 20 years, able to relate to modern day stress, and uses ancient wisdom to lead a busy and productive life.

Has taught yoga to employees in various national and multinational organizations.

Also conducts a range of private and group yoga classes.

Teaches children, senior citizens, working executives and housewives among others.

Uses yoga as therapy for healing chronic ailments.

Teaches teachers, teachers’ training courses, special courses and programmes, lectures widely, and counsels continuously on health, living harmoniously, and finding peace in a chaotic world.

Engaged in at least 1000 yoga related classes, courses, programmes and events every year.

Will be the main hatha yoga teacher in the course in Kudal, January 2020.

Devatma Chaitanya

Direct disciple of Swami Dayananda, in the lineage of Swami Chinmayananda.

Studied Vedanta, Bhagavat Gita and Sanskrit, along with traditional Indian scriptures for over five years full time, in the Gurukula under Swami Dayananda.

Teacher of teachers, and a scholar of merit in his subject.

Extraordinary teacher, who is able to make students understand a vast and dry subject, creating humour and interest in everything that he teaches. Laughter and learning are both guaranteed in his presence.

Has been teaching in the SYCG courses since 2015, including the first non-residential IYTTC Level 1 conducted in January and the IYTTC Level 2 in August 2016.

Familiar with the Sivananda Hatha yoga practices. Himself a graduate of the Sivananda Teacher Training and Advanced Teacher Training Courses.

Has been a Vedanta teacher in the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Ashrams, as well as with Sivananda Yoga Vidya Peetham in Kerala and elsewhere.

STAFF

Approximately ten staff (assistant teachers) for the course.

Each of them has completed his or her international teachers’ training course and is certified by yoga alliance to teach yoga anywhere in the world.

All the teachers at the course offer their time and teaching free of cost – they are volunteers.

Their work is an act of seva, selfless service.

The students therefore get teachers who is not only highly trained and knowledgeable about yoga, but also who are compassionate, gentle, caring and giving, without any inclination towards material reward.

Each teacher leads by example
it is a profound learning experience, just to be in their presence.

Our yoga teachers teach on an average between 100 and 500 yoga classes in a year.
