H.H Swami Vishnudevananda
Swami Vishnudevananda, one of his foremost disciples, was sent to the west in 1958 to promote and spread the ancient science for the people of the west, for whom stress and disease had become a way of life.
Swami Vishnudevananda (1927-1993) set up the International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centres and ashrams in the late 1950s, headquartered in Canada.
The Sivananda Yoga Teachers’ Training course was created by him in 1969.
There are now more than 50000 graduates of the course.
The legacy is continued in the courses that we teach.
